ウォッシュドプロセスでは、収穫したコーヒーチェリーをまず洗浄し、果肉を取り除いた後、豆を乾燥させます。洗浄により果肉が取り除かれるため、豆自体の風味が豊かでクリーンでバランスのとれた味わいのコーヒーが得られます。
どちらの方法も、コーヒーの味や特性に影響を与えるため、生豆の加工方法はコーヒーの風味の決定要素となります。
